K-8 Program
St. Joan of Arc Catholic School provides a faith-filled and challenging learning environment for students from kindergarten through 8th grade. Students are encouraged to put their faith into action, develop skills for a successful life, and achieve their personal best. In addition to core academics, students receive a total mind, body, and spirit experience including music, art, computer technology, field trips, foreign languages, and physical education. 3-Year-Old Preschool
2-Day Preschool – This program meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30–11:30 a.m. The program presents a basic introduction to the school environment and develops both social and learning skills. It also includes fun religion lessons. Students should be three years old by September 15th and must be potty trained.
3-Day Preschool – This program meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30–11:30 a.m. Students work on the basic academic and social skills required for further school programs and include fun religion lessons. Students must be at least three years old by September 15th and must be potty trained. Four-year-olds may be accepted into this program.
4-Year-Old Pre-Kindergarten
Students must be four years old on or before September 15th in order to be enrolled in this program. The AM class meets Monday through Friday at 8:30–11:30 a.m. OR the PM class meets M, T, TH, F from 12:20–3:20 p.m. If your child is four years old on or before September 15 and lives in the State of Iowa, he or she qualifies for the state-funded program at St. Joan of Arc. Funding for the program is provided by the State of Iowa in support of the Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program. Tuition for ten hours of instruction per week is paid for by the state of Iowa. Registering for the 4-Year–Old Prekindergarten program does not guarantee a free spot. Consideration is given to students in the following order: current SJA school families, Lourdes/Vianney parishioners, other Catholic parish families, and non-Catholic families.
Little Lancers Wraparound Care Program
This extended day “Little Lancers” program allows any preschool or prekindergarten student to enjoy a full day of activities at our Little Lancers Center. This program operates every day that school is in session.
Before & After School Programs
Child care is available before and after school every day that school is in session. This program runs from 7:00–8:00 a.m. and from 3:15–5:30 p.m. and is open to any student enrolled in kindergarten through age 12.
St. Joan of Arc Early Childhood Center
The St. Joan of Arc Early Childhood Center is located onsite at St. Joan of Arc Catholic School and is available for care for children ages 6 weeks and older.
